  • Puppy Elementary

    Your puppy’s first training class
    A six week course running for 60 minutes
    This puppy class is taught Off-leash with an emphasis on producing people-friendly, dog-friendly and mastering off-leash control.

    We will cover: Bite inhibition (gentle jaws), Socialization with other Dogs, Children and People, Calming and handling exercises, Off-leash household manners and the prevention of behavior and temperament problems.
    We work with food lures and rewards for reliable verbal and hand signal control. We will also incorporating and train how to phase-out the food lures so your pups do not become dependent on working soley for treats.
    This class covers Potty training and house soiling solutions, basic and fundamental obedience (Sit, Down Stand, Stay, Off, Leave-it & Take-it) and beginning leash etiquette.

    Ages: 8 – 20 weeks

    What to Bring to Class
    Proof of Vaccination Schedule: The first set booster of the distemper/parvo combination (DHPP)
    Please no food or water 2 hours prior to class.
    (To help ensure no potty accidents)
    Freeze dried liver or chicken training treats and some of your puppy’s kibble.
    A regular collar along with a 4-6 foot leash.
    (No flexi or retractable leashes please)

    Puppy Jr. High

    A continuation from Puppy Elementary School for the Adolescent pups
    A six week course running for 60 minutes
    This class is continues to reinforce proper socialization with other Dogs, People and Children and can be a bit more challenging as the dogs enter their Adolescent period.

    Continuing work with basic commands (Sit-Stays, Leash-Heeling, Reliable-Recalls, Off, Down-Stay, On-Your Mat, Shush-Quiet, Settle-Down) focusing and perfecting verbal and hand signals with some distant control.
    We teach owners to have control and confidence with real-life distracting situations, Sit-stays during off leash interaction and learning to capture and keep their dogs attention.
    We’ll continue with leash heeling on-lead and off-lead showing owners how to prefect this indoors and out.
    These classes will make your daily walks, training and lifestyle more enjoyable for both owner and dog.

    21 weeks and up.
